Look, I love what crossfit, f45, orange theory, and other bootcamp/boutique approaches have done for the fitness industry. But once clients get past those newbie gains, they suddenly have a much harder time progressing. They’re stop seeing results
And this is because you must train them differently!
They need more progressed workouts to match their more progressed status as clients
And this is HUGE to building your business. A lot of clients fall off training once they get out of that initial newbie phase because they stop seeing the results. But if you keep matching their workouts with their ability levels, they’ll continue to progress and they’ll stay around forever.

You get your your cert, you start training clients, then it hits you
“There is SO MUCH that I still have to learn!”
I felt this keenly when I began training. I had an accounting degree and a math background, not exercise science!
And, frankly, if you’re not continually educating yourself, you have no business training people.
But far too many coaches, myself included, make the mistake of thinking that more certs or more letters after their name means they’ll make more money.
And this is so far from the truth. In my 10 years of training, not once has a client ever asked me what my certs or qualifications are. Ask any coach that has been training for a long time and they’ll all tell you the same thing. Clients simply couldn’t care less what certs you have.
